About Asher Heimermann


Asher Heimermann was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on November 27, 1993. He is a member of the Democratic National Committee and Young Democrats of America. He is also a Community Field Organizer for serveral political campaigns. Heimermann recently was an Intern for Barack Obama's presidential campaign. He raised $13,725 from 335 people on his personal fundraising page that was located on BarackObama.com for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

In the Horace Mann Middle School Student Council, Heimermann focused on making sure that the Student Council does it of representing the student body. He tried to rebuild the student's trust in the Student Council. While serving in the Student Council, he led a successful effort to inform the student body of upcoming meetings. Heimermann was a three term Student Council Representative while at Horace Mann Middle School in Sheboygan from 2005 until 2008.

In September 2008, Heimermann received successful support from Sheboygan South High School students to seek the nomination of the South High Student Council. On September 8, he announced his candidacy for Vice President of the Freshman Class. Speculation on a Vice Presidential run intensified after remaks Heimermann made on September 5. His term expired on Monday, June 15, 2009, and will not seek election for the 2009-2010 school year.

In August 2009, Asher Heimermann formed Wisconsin for Tom Barrett, a group encouraging Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett to run for Wisconsin Governor. Heimermann believes Barrett is the best Democratic candidate for the office. The group is aimed at asking and supporting him to run. As of September, Mayor Barrett has not made a decision.

Asher Heimermann continues to speak out on the issues that will define his generation. But above all his accomplishments and experiences, he is most grateful for his family and his supporters for their trust and for believing in him. Heimermann will work with anyone and everyone to finish what needs to be done to create a better tommorrow.
